Lube oil cooler merupakan salah satu auxiliary equipment dalam sistem pelumasan turbin pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap. Lube Oil Cooler berfungsi untuk mendinginkan temperatur lube oil yang telah membawa energi panas dari gesekan-gesekan komponen turbin uap. Jenis heat exchanger dari lube oil cooler yang akan dirancang adalah fin tube dengan arah aliran crossflow yang memindahkan panas lube oil , dimana demin water terletak di sisi tube sedangkan lube oil pada sisi duct. Karena pentingnya peran lube oil cooler pada sistem pelumasan turbin uap, maka dibutuhkan heat exchanger yang memiliki performa baik. Rancangan Lube Oil Cooler diawali dengan menentukan parameter awal rancangan yaitu temperatur, laju alir massa, panas spesifik, konduktivitas termal dan densitas dari demin water dan lube oil. Kemudian dilakukan perhitungan dimensi dengan rumus rancangan sesuai standar dan analisis rancangan. Hasil rancangan didapat dimensi tube dengan material Titanium berdiameter luar 1,5 inch 18 BWG, panjang tube 4500 mm, jumlah tube 13 buah dengan susunan triangular. Jumlah fin 2 buah per inch, tinggi fin 4500 mm dan tebal fin 1,02 mm. Standar dari rancangan lube oil cooler adalah nilai kekotoran ketentuan sama dengan nilai kekotoran perhitungan dan penurunan tekanan untuk sisi duct dan sisi tube yaitu ≤ 0,68 bar. Dari besaran dimensi hasil perhitungan rancangan lube oil cooler, didapatkan nilai faktor kekotoran sebesar 0,006015 sesuai dengan nilai ketentuan faktor kekotoran yaitu 0,006 dan besar penurunan tekanan untuk sisi duct yaitu 0,09 bar dan sisi tube 0,63 bar. Deskripsi Alternatif :

Lube oil cooler is one of auxiliary equipment in turbine lubrication system in Steam Power Plant. Lube Oil Cooler serves to cool the temperature of lube oil that has brought heat energy from friction components of steam turbine. The type of heat exchanger from the lube oil cooler to be designed is a fin tube with a crossflow flow direction that displaces the heat of the lube oil, where the demin water is located on the side of the tube while the lube oil on the duct side. Because of the importance of the role of lube oil cooler in steam turbine lubrication system, heat exchanger is required that has a good performance. The Lube Oil Cooler design begins with determining the initial design parameters of temperature, mass flow rate, specific heat, thermal conductivity and density of demin water and lube oil. Then the calculation of dimensions with the design formula according to standards and design analysis. The design results obtained tube dimension with Titanium material outside diameter 1.5 inch 18 BWG, 4500 mm tube length, 13 tube tube with triangular arrangement. Number of fin 2 pieces per inch, 4500 mm fin height and 1.02 mm fin thickness. The standard of the lube oil cooler design is the dirtiness value of the provision equal to the impurity value of the calculation and the pressure drop for the duct side and the tube side is ≤ 0.68 bar. From the dimension of the calculation result of lube oil cooler design, the impurity factor value is 0.006015 according to the value of the determination of the defilement factor of 0.006 and the pressure drop for the duct side is 0.09 bar and the tube side is 0.63 bar.
