Output dari analisis Cluster sebagai salah satu metode Analisis Multivardapat memberi interpretasi yang luas dan informatif mengenai karakteristik suatu variabel melalui peggabungkan beberapa objek ke dalam kelompok-kelompok berdasarkan sifat kemiripan atau sifat ketidakmiripan antar objek. Untuk mengetahui karateristik mahasiswa program studi Rekayasa Polban D-III berdasarkan variabel rata-rata nilai SMB, dan rata-rata nilai IPK maka analisis Cluster lebih tepat digunakan. Hasil Analisis Cluster diperoleh dari SPSS versi 20 dalam bentuk dendogram menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai NEM mahasiswa Polban Rekayasa D-III angkatan 2007 program studi Aeronautika mempunyai karakteristik yang sama dengan Konstruksi Gedung, Program Studi Teknik Elektro dan Teknik Telekomunikasi. Karakteristik rata-rata nilai NEM yang serupa ditunjukkan oleh Teknik Listrik, Teknik Energi, dan Teknik Refrigerasi dan Tata Udara. Dalam hal rata-rata nilai SMB,.untuk program studi TTE, TKOM, TK,KSI, dan TME mempunyai karakteristik yang sama. Begitu juga program studi KG,RA,TEN,dan AER mempunyai kemiripan dalam hal rata-rata nilai SMB. Untuk rata-rata nilai IPK mahasiswa Rekayasa D-III, dari dendogram hasil analisis cluster menunjukkan bahwa program studi TTE, TEL, TK, TME, KGI dan TEN mempunyai kemiripan. Sedangkan program studi KSI dan TLI mempunyai karakteristik yang serupa dalam hal rata-rata nilai IPK. Program studi lainnya yang mempunyai kemiripan adalah RA dan AER.

The output of the cluster analysis as a method of analysis gives a broad interpretation Multivardapat and informative about the characteristics of a variable through peggabungkan multiple objects into groups based on the nature of the similarity or dissimilarity between objects properties. To know the characteristics of students of Engineering Polban D-III based on the average value of the variable SMB, and the average GPA of the cluster analysis is more appropriate. Cluster analysis results obtained from the SPSS version 20 in the form of a dendogram shows that the average value of NEM Engineering student Polban D-III class of 2007 Aeronautics courses have the same characteristics as Building Construction, Electrical Engineering Program and Telecommunication Engineering. Characteristics of the average value similar NEM indicated by the Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, and Mechanical Refrigeration and Air Tata. In terms of the average value of SMB,. TTE for the course, TKOM, TK, KSI, and TME have the same characteristics. Likewise courses KG, RA, TEN, and AER have similarities in terms of the average value of SMB. For the average student GPA Engineering D-III, from cluster analysis dendogram showed that TTE studies program, TEL, TK, TME, KGI and TEN has some similarities. While MSG and TLI courses have similar characteristics in terms of average GPA. Other courses that have resemblance is RA and AER.
