Steganografi merupakan teknik menyembunyikan data pada media lain untuk menjaga keamanan dan kerahasiaan informasi dalam pertukaran. Pada proyek akhir ini pengimplementasian aplikasi steganografi menggunakan metode Exploiting Modification Direction (EMD). Media penyisipan yang digunakan gambar gray dan pesan yang akan disisipkan pesan text. Penyisipan text secret dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan nilai pixel pada image gray. Dengan metode ini nilai MSE maksimal bernilai 50%. Aplikasi ini memiliki kelemahan, pada proses rekontruksi gambar yang lama. Kata kunci: Steganografi, EMD, Informasi.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Steganography is a technique of hiding data on other medias to maintain security and confidentiality in exchanging information. In this final project, image steganography application is implemented using the method of Exploiting Modification Direction (EMD). Insertion media used is gray scale image and inserted message is text message. The secret text will be inserted by utilizing picel value in gray scale image. By using this method, the maximum value of MSE is 50%. However, this application has its weakness. The process of reconstruction of the old image takes long time.
