Pada tugas akhir ini penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai performance dan customizablity antara PrimeFaces dan ICEfaces. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah informasi mengenai performance dan customizablity antara PrimeFaces dan ICEfaces yang berguna bagi developer, sehingga dapat membantu developer untuk memilih component library mana yang akan digunakan dalam pengembangan aplikasinya. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan cara membuat aplikasi dengan menggunakan seluruh komponen yang akan dibandingkan pada kedua component library. Pada saat pengimplementasian aplikasi tersebut dilakukan pencatatan nama, fungsi, dan cara penggunaan fitur yang ada pada komponen tersebut, juga permasalah yang ditemukan ketika mengimplementasikan komponen tersebut. Aplikasi tersebut terdiri dari beberapa page yang berisi komponen-komponen yang dikelompokan berdasarkan tipenya. Lalu load time dari tiap page aplikasi yang sudah selesai dibuat telah diukur. Selain itu, dilakukan juga pengukuran load time terhadap beberapa komponen seperti pieChart dan dataTable. variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian performance tersebut adalah jumlah data, alokasi memory server, dan jumlah client yang melakukan pengujian. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah PrimeFaces memiliki fitur yang lebih banyak dan juga memiliki permasalahan yang lebih sedikit dibanding ICEfaces. Selain itu, pada penelitian performance PrimeFaces juga memiliki catatan waktu yang lebih kecil dibanding ICEfaces. Deskripsi Alternatif :

In this Final Project the author has been research on performance and customizability between PrimeFaces and ICEfaces. Result is obtained were information about performance and customizablity between PrimeFaces and ICEfaces useful to developer, so it can help developer to choose which component library to use in the application development. The approach taken is by creating an application by using all components that will be compared on both component library. During the application implementation, features of these components has been noted, also problems that found when implementing the components. That application consists of a few pages that contains components that were grouped according the type. Then load time of each page application created has been measured. In addition, the load time of components such us pieChart and dataTable were also measured. Variables used during the performance experiment were amount of data, allocated server memory, and number of clients who did a test. Result from this research is primefaces has more features and also has fewer problem rather than ICEfaces. In adition, on performance also has faster time record rather than ICEFaces.
