Indonesia merupakan negara agraris yang antara lain memproduksi beras yang berasal dari gabah yang melewati tahap pengeringan dan penumbukan. Pengering gabah berbasis teknologi telah tersedia dipasaran tetapi tidak memiliki sistem pembaca suhu dan kelembaban yang akurat, sehingga suhu dan kelembaban tidak dapat diatur selama proses pengeringan, dan menyebabkan kualitas gabah menurun. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dirancang dan direalisasikan Prototipe Sistem Pengering Gabah dengan Indikator Kelembaban dan Suhu berbasis Mikrokontroler bagian Rancang Bangun dan Indikator. Sistem ini dirancang dan direalisasikan untuk mendeteksi, memonitor serta mengontrol suhu dan kelembaban. Sistem terdiri dari tiga bagian utama, yaitu input berupa push button, limit switch, keypad serta SHT10, processor berupa mikrokontroler Atmega 16, serta output berupa indikator LED, buzzer, dan LCD. Push button berfungsi sebagai tombol start dan stop sistem. Keypad berfungsi untuk memasukan data nilai suhu dan kelembaban yang diinginkan. Sensor SHT10 berfungsi untuk melakukan pembacaan suhu dan kelembaban gabah selama proses. Selanjutnya data dari sensor akan diproses dan dikontrol oleh mikrokontroler Atmega 16. Output mikrokontroler Atmega 16 akan ditampilkan pada LCD, diberikan perintah pada aktuator yang dikontrol oleh sistem yang dibuat terpisah. Selama sistem melakukan proses, indikator LED ON, ketika terjadi error buzzer akan ON dan proses OFF. Proses pengujian pengeringan dilakukan satu siklus dan berurutan dengan penentuan hasil secara kualitatif, dan kualitas terbaik di dapat pada pengaturan pengeringan 40°C dan 55%RH.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Indonesia is an agrarian country. One of it’s product is rice which is derived from grain. In the post-harvest handling grain should be dried and pulverized before become rice. In market, the mostly grain dryer based on technology are not completed with temperature and humidity system. Therefore, the temperature and humidity can not be controlled during dryers process, and caused the degradation of grain quality. This project concern to design and realized the prototype of grain dryer system with humidity and temperature indicators based on microcontroller, “Build design and indicators” part. This part of system is designed and realized in order to read, monitor, and controll the temperature and humidity. The system consist of the input push buttons, limit switches, keypad and SHT10, processor microcontroller Atmega 16, the output as well as LED indicator, buzzer, and the LCD. Push button has function as the start and stop actuator. Keypad is used to enter data for the determine temperature and humidity. SHT10 sensor is used to sense temperature and humidity in the grain chamber during the drying process. The temperature and humidity as process variable are controlled by microcontroller Atmega 16, the output of microcontroller is displayed on LCD, and send to actuator which are controlled by the other microcontroller in the other separately system. The LED indicator will be active in the mode ON and the buzzer will be the ON and OFF when there is an error during the process. The testing process of drying was carried out in a cycle and sequential mode, the best result is achieved by determine of the drying temperature at 40°C and humidity target 55%RH.
