Magnetic Particle Test (MPT) merupakan salah satu meteode Non-Destructive Test (NDT) untuk menemukan cacat pada benda feromagnetik di bagian permukaan (Surface) dan di bawah permukaan (Subsurface) benda. Laporan Tugas Akhir (TA) ini membahas mengenai hasil perancangan dan pembuatan ulang alat uji magnetik jenis head shot. TA ini merupakan lanjutan dari TA sebelumnya (Dicky Pratama Asmawardani 2017 "Rancang Bangun Portable Head Shot Alat Uji Tak Rusak Menggunakan Teknik Circular Magnetism)". Metode yang digunakan pada penyelesaian TA ini adalah metode analisis-experimental. Metode analisis dilaksanakan dengan tahapan studi literatur, studi banding dan observasi serta analisis dan desain. Metode experimental dilaksanakan dengan tahapan manufaktur dan tahapan pengujian. Hasil yang didapat dari pelaksanaan TA ini adalah sudah berhasil merancang bangun ulang alat uji magnetik dengan spesifikasi arus yang digunakan jenis Alternating Current (AC) dan Half Wave Direct Current (HWDC) dengan besar arus maksimal 200 Ampere, ketebalan maksimal spesimen 8 mm (0.8 cm), diameter/diagonal maksimal spesimen 10 mm (1 cm), panjang central conductor 300 mm (30 cm), dengan diameter 8 mm (0.8 cm) dan spesifikasi lainnya yang telah tertulis pada Lampiran B.2. Diharapkan hasil dari TA ini dapat digunakan sebagai sarana praktikum Metode Inspeksi. Kata kunci: Magnetic Particle Test, Head Shot Central Conductor, Alternating Current, Half Wave Direct Current.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Magnetic Particle Test (MPT) is one of the Non-Destructive Test (NDT) method to find defects in Ferromagnetic substances on the surface and subsurface. This Final Project report discusses the design and re-creation of magnetic test equipment type head shot. This Final Project is a continuation of previous one (Dicky Pratama Asmawardani 2017 "Designing and Manufacturing Portable Head Shot the NonDestructive Test Tool Using Circular Magnetism Technique"). The method used in this final project is an experimental-analysis method. The method of analysis is carried out by stages of literature study, comparative study and observation as well as analysis and design. The experimental method is carried out with the manufacturing stage and the testing stage. The results obtained from the implementation of this Final Project are successfully designed a rebuilt magnetic test equipment with current specifications used in the Alternating Current (AC) and Half Wave Direct Current (HWDC) types with a maximum current of 200 Ampere, a maximum thickness of specimen 8 mm (0.8 cm), maximum diameter of specimen 10 mm ( 1 cm), the length of the central conductor is 300 mm (30 cm), with a diameter of 8 mm (0.8 cm) and other specifications written in Appendix B.2. It is expected that the results of this Final Project can be used as a practical tool for the Inspection Method.
