Motion platform merupakan sebuah alat yang digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan gerak pesawat. Dalam rancang bangun yang dibuat oleh penulis, motion platform memiliki dua bidang kendali, yaitu gerak mengangguk (pitching) dan gerak berguling (rolling). Kedua gerak dikendalikan oleh joystick yang terhubung pada mikrokontroler Arduino. Arduino lalu diprogram untuk mengatur on/off relay. Relay akan memberikan sinyal untuk membuka dan menutup katup solenoid 5/3. Katup solenoid inilah yang mengatur gerak maju mundur aktuator silinder. Dibantu oleh servo valve, berfungsi mengatur banyaknya aliran udara yang masuk ke solenoid dan pressure regulator yang berfungsi untuk mengatur tekanan yang bekerja pada sistem sebanyak satu bar. Dengan demikian joystick akan berfungsi sebagai saklar on/off menggerakkan aktuator. Kemiringan bidang kendali sebesar ±30⁰ akan terlihat pada struktur dan akan divisualisasikan pada dua indikator Galvanometer yang mendapat input dari potensiometer yang terpasang pada aktuator. Deskripsi Alternatif :

Motion platform is a tool used to visualize aircraft motion. In the design created by the author, motion platform has two areas of control, namely motion nod (pitching) and rolling motion (rolling). Both motions are controlled by a joystick connected to the Arduino microcontroller. Arduino is then programmed to set the on / off relay. The relay will provide a signal to open and close the 5/3 solenoid valve. This solenoid valve that regulates the cylinder actuator's back and forth movement. Assisted by a servo valve, it functions to regulate the amount of air flow coming into the solenoid and pressure regulator that serves to regulate the pressure that works on the system as much as one bar. Thus the joystick will function as an on / off switch to move the actuator. The slope of the control field as much as ±30⁰ will be visible on the structure and will be visualized on the two indicators of the Galvanometer receiving input from the potentiometer mounted on the actuator.
