Simpatetik trip adalah kejadian terbukanya PMT dari penyulang yang tidak terganggu oleh relai gangguan tanah akibat gangguan 1 fasa ke tanah yang terjadi di suatu penyulang (yang terhubung secara elektris didalam satu bus). Dalam tugas akhir ini akan dibahas mengenai kerja relai gangguan tanah di penyulang 20 kV yang disuplai oleh trafo 1 di Gardu Induk Cikedung 150/20 kV akibat simpatetik trip. Studi simpatetik trip ini dilakukan pada 5 penyulang yang menggunakan jaringan SKTM dengan konfigurasi jaringan radial. Studi yang dilakukan meliputi perhitungan arus hubung singkat, setting relai gangguan tanah , arus kapasitif, dan koordinasi waktu kerja relai gangguan tanah antar penyulang saat terjadi gangguan simpatetik trip. Studi yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa relai dengan karakteristik standard inverse dapat mengatasi gangguan simpatetik trip.

Sympathetic trip is the occurrence of the opening of PMT from feeders that are not disturbed by ground fault relay due to interference from one phase fault to ground that occurs in a feeder (which is electrically connected in one bus). In this final project, we will discuss about the ground fault relay’s work in feeders of 20 kV supplied by transformer 1 in the Cikedung substation 150/20 kV due to sympathetic trip. This study of sympathetic trip was carried out on 5 feeders using SKTM’s network with radial network configuration. The study carried out included the calculation of short circuit currents, ground fault relay settings, capacitive currents, and coordination of the working time of ground fault relay between feeders when a sympathetic trip disturbance occurred. The study conducted shows that relay with inverse standard characteristics can overcome sympathetic trip.
