Untuk menghitung waktu yang diperlukan dalam menyelesaikan problem kerja(Work Problem ), diperoleh rumus 1/t = 1/a + 1/b atau t = (ab)/(a+b). Problem kerja ini dapat diperluas untuk variabel yang lebih dari dua buah. Untuk mereka yang tidak
menyukai perhitungan dengan pecahan atau perkalian, dapat dipergunakan geometri untuk bidang datar, khususnya penggunaan rumus garis bagi dalam peta garis arah (an alignment chart or a nomogram).
To calculate the time required to solve Work Problem, we find the formula 1/t = 1/a + 1/b atau t = (ab)/(a+b). This formula can be extended for Work Problem which has more than two variables. For them, who avoid calculating with fraction or multiplication can use the plane geometry, especially formula of bisector on an alignment chart or a nomogram.
