Perusahaan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gas dan Uap (PLTGU) Tambak Lorok blok 2 berlokasi di kota Semarang, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia menggunakan konverter AC/DC tiga fasa gelombang penuh untuk sumber daya peralatan DC pembangkit. Penggunaan konverter tersebut menimbulkan harmonisa arus pada sisi sumber dengan orde ganjil selain kelipatan tiga. Berdasarkan pendekatan ekivalen sistem elektrikal dengan simulasi Matlab didapatkan THDI pada busbar 400V Essential Service PDC 4 sebagai titik sambung bersama sebesar 16,65%, sedangkan melalui simulasi Psim didapatkan THDI sebesar 21,47%. Lalu, THDI pada busbar 400V Auxilliary Power Panel 11B berdasarkan Matlab sebesar 41,25% dan 42,23% pada Psim. Hasil simulasi ini melewati persentase standar harmonisa yang ditetapkan oleh IEEE 519 - 1992. Dilakukan beberapa metode penanganan harmonisa pada sistem elektrikal pembangkit tersebut. Untuk penanganan pada busbar PDC 4, perancangan transformator penggeser fasa dengan pergeseran 15° mampu mereduksi harmonisa arus sumber konverter sehingga didapatkan THDI menjadi 1,08%, sedangkan perancangan skema transformator penggeser fasa dengan pergeseran 30° menghasilkan THDI yang menurun menjadi 3,59%. Selanjutnya perancangan dengan metode filter pasif single tuned yang dipasang pada busbar PDC 4 didapatkan penurunan THDI menjadi 11,11%. Lalu untuk penanganan harmonisa pada busbar Auxilliary Power Panel 11B, penggunaan transformator penggeser fasa dengan pergeseran 30° mereduksi THDI hingga menjadi 7,46%. Metode lainnya dirancang dengan menerapkan filter pasif single tuned didapatkan penurunan THDI menjadi sebesar 7,087%. Berdasarkan pertimbangan teknis, disarankan metode yang efektif diterapkan pada perbaikan harmonisa busbar PDC 4 menggunakan dua transformator penggeser fasa dan untuk busbar Auxilliary Power Panel 11B disarankan menggunakan filter pasif single tuned. Kedua hasil perancangan ini memberikan penurunan THDI secara signifikan hingga sesuai dengan standar IEEE 519-1992. Deskripsi Alternatif :

The Gas and Steam Power Plant Tambak Lorok Block 2, situated in Semarang City, Central Java, Indonesia, leverages a three-phase full-wave AC/DC konverter as the primary power source for generating DC power within its DC power system. The use of a three-phase full-wave AC/DC konverter introduces odd-order harmonic currents into the power source, in addition to multiples of three order harmonic. By employing an equivalent electrical system approach using MATLAB simulation, the Total Harmonic Distortion (THDI) was determined to be 16.65% at the 400V Essential Service PDC 4 busbar, while the Psim simulation yielded a THDI of 21.47%. Additionally, the THDI at the 400V Auxiliary Power Panel 11B busbar was found to be 41.25% from MATLAB , and 42.23% in Psim. These simulation results exceeded the harmonic standards set by IEEE 519-1992. Therefore, various methods for handling harmonics in the power generation electrical system have been implemented. In Essential Service PDC 4 busbar, the design incorporates a scheme using four phase-shifting transformers with a 15° phase shift, which effectively reduces harmonic currents from the converter. This design resulted in a THDI of 1.08% at the PDC 4 busbar. Alternatively, a scheme utilizing two phase-shifting transformers with a 30° phase shift achieved a reduced THDI of 3.59% at the PDC 4 busbar. Furthermore, a passive single-tuned filter method was applied, tuned to individual harmonics of the 5th, 7th, 11th, and 13th orders, placed at the PDC 4 busbar, resulting in a reduced THDI of 11.11%. At the Auxiliary Power Panel 11B busbar, the use of two phase-shifting transformers with a 30° phase shift effectively reduced harmonic currents at the Power Panel 11B busbar to 7.46%. Another method employed in Power Panel 11B busbar involved implementing a passive single-tuned filters, tuned to individual harmonics of the 5th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, and 19th orders. The application of this passive filter resulted in a THDI reduction of 7.087%. Based on various considerations, it recommended to utilize the two-phase-shifting transformer scheme for PDC 4 busbar and the implementation of a passive single-tuned filter for Power Panel 11B busbar.
