Penelitian ini menguji hubungan antara rasio keuangan perusahaan, yaitu Current Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio sebagai variabel independen terhadap Return On Assets yang menjadi variabel dependen pada perusahaan sektor Perdagangan, Jasa, dan Investasi. Studi ini menggunakan data panel perusahaan selama tahun 2017-2021 berdasarkan tiga tahun sebelum dan dua tahun selama pandemi COVID-19. COVID-19 menjadi variabel moderator yang memperkuat atau memperlemah pengaruh Current Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio terhadap Return On Assets. Populasi penelitian adalah 102 perusahaan Perdagangan, Jasa, dan Investasi yang terdaftar di Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia. Berdasarkan random sampling, diperoleh 26 perusahaan sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Current Ratio, baik yang dimoderasi oleh COVID-19 dan tanpa dimoderasi, tidak berpengaruh terhadap Return On Assets perusahaan. Sedangkan hasil Debt to Equity Ratio tanpa dimoderasi COVID-19 berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap Return On Assets, dan Debt to Equity Ratio yang dimoderasi oleh COVID-19 berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Return On Assets. Hubungan positif yang didapatkan oleh Debt to Equity Ratio terhadap Return On Assets selama COVID-19 diartikan sebagai quasi moderator, dimana COVID-19 sebagai variabel moderasi semu mampu berinteraksi dengan Debt to Equity Ratio sehingga memperkuat pengaruh negatifnya terhadap Return On Assets perusahaan. Deskripsi Alternatif :

This study examines the relationship between the company's financial ratios, namely Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio as independent variables to Return On Assets which are the dependent variable in trading, service and investment sector companies. This study uses company panel data for 2017-2021 based on the three years before and two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 is a moderator variable that strengthens or weakens the influence of the Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio on Return On Assets. The research population is 102 trading, service and investment companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index. Based on random sampling, 26 companies were obtained as samples. The results of the study show that the Current Ratio, both moderated by COVID-19 and without being moderated, has no effect on the company's Return On Assets. Meanwhile, the results of the Debt to Equity Ratio without being moderated by COVID-19 have a negative and significant effect on Return On Assets, and the Debt to Equity Ratio which is moderated by COVID-19 has a positive and significant effect on Return On Assets. The positive relationship obtained by the Debt to Equity Ratio to Return On Assets during COVID-19 is interpreted as a quasi moderator, where COVID-19 as a pseudo moderating variable is able to interact with the Debt to Equity Ratio thereby strengthening its negative effect on the company's Return On Assets.
