Kemudahan akses komunikasi dan informasi di Laboratorium Telekomunikasi didukung oleh topologi jaringan yang ada saat ini. Namun layanan akses tersebut belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan dari performa jaringan tersebut, maka dimanfaatkan jaringan leased line dimana dengan sistem pengiriman dalam bentuk frame dapat didapatkan bandwidth yang dinamik. Dari beberapa skenario yang telah dibuat, dilakukan pengujian throughput sehingga didapatkan hasil kecepatan transmisi rata-rata sebesar 1527,27 kbps dengan respon time 20,83 ms. Sedangkan kecepatan transmisi rata-rata pada jaringan leased line tanpa frame relay 1657,15 kbps dengan respon time 21,5 ms. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran throughput dan response time, terbukti bahwa leased line dengan teknologi frame relay dapat memberikan kecepatan akses data yang lebih konstan dibandingkan dengan leased line tanpa frame relay. Ease of access to communication and information in the Telecommunications Laboratory is supported by the existing network topology at this time. However, the access service can't meet the needs of users. To solve the problem of network performance, the network used leased line where the the delivery system in the form of frames can be obtained dynamic bandwidth. Of several scenarios that have been made, so that the throughput testing showed an average of leased line network with a frame relay technology is 1527.27 kbps with a response time of 20.83 ms. While the average transmission speed on the leased line network without a frame relay technology is 1657.15 kbps with a response time of 21.5 ms. Based on the results of throughput and response time measurements, proved that a leased line with frame relay technology can provide data access speed is more constant than the leased line without a frame relay.
