This study is entitled "Analysis of Sentence Types at Oxford Read and Discover Level 1, Level 4, and Level 6". The project aims are to identify the types of sentences used and to find out what type of sentence is mostly used in Oxford Read and Discover Level 1, Level 4, and Level 6. A Qualitative method is used for analyzing types of sentences in Book Level 1, Level 4, and Level 6, and simple calculations to calculate the percentage number of types of sentences for analysis results. Data collections were done by downloading, reading, and printing the text. The data analysis was done by numbering sentences, identifying elements of the sentences, identifying the clause into independent and dependent clause, and identifying types of sentences. The results show that the types of sentences used in Oxford Read and Discover are simple sentences (78%), compound sentences (11%), complex sentences (10%), and compound-complex sentences (1%). Simple sentence is a type of sentence that is mostly used in Oxford Read and Discover books because it shows that these types of sentences are intended for children to easily understand the content of the book.
