Deskripsi Alternatif :

This final project entitled An Analysis on Kinds of Pronouns in Three Short Stories. The three short stories are the subject of under investigation of this study. They were written by O Henry, Dorothy Parker, and Edgar Allan Poe. The aims of this study are to identify what kinds of pronouns used, to calculate the percentages of kinds of pronouns used, and to analyze the kinds of pronouns mostly used in three short stories. The qualitative method is used as the method for this study. There are three theories that had already combined as the theoretical foundations for this study. Those are combined from Martinet and Thomson, Monmouth University and Jo Killmister. This analysis takes some several steps such as: collecting the data, analyzing the data and then developing the table to compare the result of the data also to find out the kinds of pronouns mostly used. The data is collected by doing the library study, reading the stories, and marking the pronouns found. The result of this study shows that there are 1083 pronouns found. Personal pronouns are found 745 personal pronouns with the percentages 68%. It shows that personal pronoun is kinds of pronouns mostly used.
