Industri manufaktur di Indonesia masih banyak menyimpan permasalahan, salah satunya adalah kontrol terhadap persediaan. Persediaan merupakan hal yang penting dalam sebuah usaha terutana bagi industri manufaktur karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap proses produksi. Hal ini dialami oleh salah satu perusahaan manufaktur di Bandung yaitu PT Safety Sign Indonesia, dimana sering terjadi kekurangan dan kelebihan bahan baku produksi yang berpengaruh terhadap biaya yang dikeluarkan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan perusahaan adalah meningkatkan efisiensi biaya persediaan bahan baku. Perusahaan harus mampu merencanakan dan mengendalikan persediaan bahan baku perusahaan untuk menunjang keefektifan biaya bahan bakunya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan sistem Just In Time pada PT Safety Sign Indonesia dalam meningkatkan efisiensi biaya persediaan bahan baku perusahaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah penelitian kualitatif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data diperoleh dari data primer dan data sekunder. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini antara lain: wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan menggunakan Just In Time dalam mengendalikan persediaan bahan baku terjadi efisiensi biaya dengan tingkat efisiensi biaya sebesar 75%. Dari perhitungan tersebut sebaiknya perusahaan menerapkan sistem Just In Time dalam pengelolaan dan pengendalian persediaan bahan baku.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Manufacture Industries in Indonesia still has a lot of problems, one of which is the control of inventory. Inventory is an important thing in a business especially for the manufacturing industry because it has a direct effect on the production process. This is happened to one of the manufacturing companies in Bandung, namely PT Safety Sign Indonesia, where there is often a shortage and excess of production raw materials which affect the costs incurred. One effort that can be done by the company is to improve the efficiency of the cost of raw material inventory. The company must be able to plan and control the company's raw material inventory to support the effectiveness of its raw material costs. This study aims to determine the application of the Just In Time system at PT Safety Sign Indonesia in increasing the efficiency of the company's raw material inventory costs. The type of research used by the author is quantitative qualitative research with a case study approach. Data sources obtained from primary data and secondary data. The methods used in this study include: interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that using Just In Time in controlling raw material inventories with a cost efficiency level of 75%. From these calculations, the company should apply the Just In Time system in managing and controlling raw material supplies.
