The title of this final project is "The Making of a Documentary Book: The Two Sides of Bandung". The photography book about the positive and negative sides of Bandung is difficult to find. The purpose of making this book is to inform people that there are things to enjoy and things to care about in Bandung. It also aims to make people aware about the negative sides and take an action to fix them and to maintain and improve all the positive things. The content of the book consists of photographs and texts about the positive and the negative things around Bandung in the period of April 2011 to July 2012. The photographs are taken by using black & white photography technique and documentary photography technique. The stories are written by using descriptive writing style, narrative writing style and cause and effect paragraph. Identifying the topics, making the outlines, taking the photographs, sorting and editing, writing the text of the photograph, making book design and layouts, editing and revising, printing and binding are the methods that are used in making this project. As the result, the book titled "The Two Sides of Bandung" is completed. This book may contribute to the development of book about photography that can preserve the beauty of Bandung and to improve the negative things about Bandung. It is recommended to the next student who wants to make a similar project to make a good plan in collecting the photograph and also to master the photography technique. The good equipment of photography is required. The descriptive writing style is mostly used in describing the photographs. Keywords: Photography, Book, Negative, Positive, Bandung
