The topic of this final project is making a mini encyclopedia of Batik from West Java. This final project aims to introduce West Java Batik to Indonesian people and foreigners and to encourage Indonesian people especially young generations and foreigners to learn about West Java Batik. The data were collected by doing library study, interviewing and observing, and to process all the data, qualitative method was used. There are several theories applied in this present project. The theories are about encyclopedia, Batik, descriptive writing, type of sentences and design. The mini encyclopedia book consists of 25 Batik motifs from five Batik industry regions in West Java. The regions are Cirebon, Garut, Indramayu, Majalengka and Tasikmalaya.
