Keberhasilan suatu proyek dapat dicapai dengan memenuhi kebutuhan dan harapan (the needs and expectations) Stakeholder melebihan riari factor lainnya (Altwies, Diane). Stakeholder atau pemangku kepentingan proyek adalah pihak yang berkepentingan dan terpengaruh dengan suatu proyek. Pengaruh proyek terhadap stakeholder dapat bersifat positive dan/atau negative. Stakeholder dapat berupa orang atau institusi yang mempunyaai kepentingan baik langsung maupun tidak langsung terhadap suatu proyek (PMBOK 6th Edition). Stakeholder proyek dapat meliputi project manager, Project Owner, Project Sponsor, customer, end User, Manajamen dan unit performing organization, PMO , society, Project Team, funding resources, dan pihak lain yang terkait. Pengelolaan keterlibatan stakeholder atau Stakeholder Engagement Management merupakan bagian ke 10 dari Knowledge Area Manajemen Proyek yang dirumuskan dan ditetapkan oleh PMI. Pengelolaan keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan proyek merupakaan kegiatan yang mengelola hubungan dan komunikasi antara proyek/ manajer proyek dengan stakeholder proyek. Kegiatan ini juga melaukan identifikasi dan melakukan analisis tingkat keterkaitan, pengaruh, kekuasaan, dan lainnya yang dimiliki oleh stakeholder terhadap proyek, serta mengidentifikasi keanekaragaman stakeholder, kompleksitas hubungan dan penetapan teknologi komunikasi yang diperlukan. Kegiatan ini mencakup proses identifikasi stakeholder, proses plan stakeholder engagement, proses manage stakeholder engagement, dan proses monitor stakeholder engagement.
Deskripsi Alternatif :The success of a project can be achieved by meeting the needs and expectations of stakeholders over other factors (Altwies, Diane). Stakeholders or project stakeholders are parties who are interested in and affected by a project. The impact of the project on stakeholders can be positive and/or negative. Stakeholders can be people or institutions that have a direct or indirect interest in a project (PMBOK 6th Edition). Project stakeholders may include project managers, project owners, project sponsors, customers, end users, management and performing organization units, PMOs, society, project teams, funding resources, and other related parties. Stakeholder Engagement Management is the 10th part of the Project Management Knowledge Area formulated and defined by PMI. Project stakeholder engagement management is an activity that manages the relationship and communication between the project/project manager and project stakeholders. This activity also identifies and analyzes the level of linkage, influence, power, and others that stakeholders have on the project, as well as identifying the diversity of stakeholders, the complexity of the relationship and the determination of the required communication technology. This activity includes the stakeholder identification process, the stakeholder engagement plan process, the stakeholder engagement management process, and the stakeholder engagement monitoring process.
