Supervision from head of department is needed to improve administrator's working discipline. Literature mentions that supervision is closely related to the responsibility of the head of department. This paper tries to find when managers should supervise subordinates strictly and when they should supervise them loosely. In this research, the effect of supervision on the administrator's discipline was analyzed. The hypothesis proposed is: there is a positive and significant effect of supervision from head of department on administrator's working discipline. Sampling was done through proportionate stratified random. By using this, we gain n = 38, while data was collected using Likert's scale, interview, observation and literature study. Before processing all the data, the information from the questioner was transferred from ordinate to interval using "Method of Successive Interval". The findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between direct supervision and working discipline at the administrative office, business administration department of Politeknik Negeri Bandung.
