This study is entitled An Analysis of types of pronouns in a children book Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle Treasury, written by Betty MacDonald. The aims of this research are to identify the types of pronouns and to find out the types of pronouns mostly used in the children book. This project focused on analysis by means of three theories from Ansell, Eastwood, and Penston. The qualitative method was used as the method for this project. Moreover, the four stories in Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle Treasury are the subject of investigation. This analysis took several steps such as collecting data and analyzing the data. The result of this project shows that the types of pronouns used are personal pronoun, possessive pronoun, demonstrative pronoun and reflexive pronoun. Personal pronoun is the type of pronoun that is mostly used with the total number 610 pronouns in the four stories of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle Treasury book.
