In the era of globalization when there are no longer many limitations and barriers for world connectivity, every country or city undertakes to reach the economic opportunity of the free market. One of the ideas is to show the regional attraction. In the marketing world, the attraction potentials could be explored through the labeling process of a city with the identity. One of the cities that possesses diverse attraction potential is Bandung with its creative industry. One of the parts of the creative industry in Bandung is the music sub-sector with all the reputations and its history. This research attempts to identify what are the factors regarding Bandung city branding as a city of music. By applying the qualitative approach, this research explores the factors related to the music industry in Bandung deeply through involvement of Bandung music stakeholder elements. This research results eleven factors of the music industry in Bandung with nine out of ten factors belonging to driving factors, and rest two are restraining factors. It concludes that Bandung possesses a possibility to be labeled as a city of music. It is just all the stakeholders required to focus on how to improve two of the restraints which are the need of facilities improvement and music ecosystem enhancement. Also, the establishment of local music reputation in Bandung internationally.
