Sistem konveyor sabuk merupakan salah satu bagian penting pada Coal Handling System. Rancangan sistem konveyor sabuk dilakukan berdasarkan penentuan dimensi dan kecepatan sabuk, perhitungan kapasitas batubara yang dibutuhan,karakteristik batubara, luas permukaan area batubara pada sistem konveyor dan kondisi lingkungan pembangkit. Hasil rancangan sistem konveyor sabuk untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) kapasitas 2 x 300 MW didapatkan adalah sabuk berjenis Rubberized Textile Belts RMA Grade I dengan lebar 48 [inch] dan mampu menahan batubara pada kapasitas 1250 [ton/hour], dan idler yang digunakan adalah Throughing Idler 35o B class, Return One Roller Idler 35o C class dan Impact Idler 35o B class. Selain itu, Pulley dari hasil perhitungan rancangan didapat diameter Drive Pulley 750 [mm], Tail Pulley 625 [mm] dan Snub Pulley 100 [mm]. Dari hasil analisis, semakin besar kapasitas yang diangkut, maka lebar konveyor yang digunakan akan semakin besar. Berdasarkan spesifikasi konveyor yang sesuai standar, maka kapasitas batubara yang diinginkan dapat diangkut konveyor secara optimal. Kata Kunci: Coal Handling System, Batubara, Konveyor Sabuk, PLTU.
Deskripsi Alternatif :Belt conveyor system was an important part of Coal Handling System. The design of the belt conveyor system was based on the determination of the belt dimensions and speed, calculation of the required coal capacity, coal characteristics, coal surface area in conveyor system and the plant environment condition. Belt conveyor system designed for Steam Power Plant (PLTU) with capacity of 2 x 300 MW. The design result was belt type Rubberized Textile Belts RMA Grade I with width of 48 [inch] and able to hold coal at 1250 [ton / hour], and used idler was Throughing Idler 350 B class, Return One Roller Idler 350 C class and Impact Idler 350 B class. In addition, Pulley obtained from the design calculations was with diameter Drive Pulley 750 [mm], Tail Pulley 625 [mm] and Snub Pulley 100 [mm]. From the analysis, the greater the capacity to be transported, the more used conveyor width would be. Based on standard conveyor specifications, the desired coal capacity could be transported to the conveyor optimally. Keywords: Coal Handling System, Coal, Conveyor Belt, Steam Power Plant.
