This final project is about an analysis type of sentences used in Oxford’s Read and Discover Book Levels 1, 4 and, 6. The aims of this final project are to identify the types of sentences used in some texts in level 1, 4, and 6 and to analyse the types of sentence is mostly used in those levels of the books. The method used in this final project is qualitative method using the traditional grammar approach and using the simple calculation to calculate the result of the analysis. As the result, there are 233 (56%) simple sentences, 48 (11.6%) compound sentences, 118 (28.4%) complex sentences, and 17 (4%) compound complex sentences. It shows that the simple sentence is a type of sentence that is mostly used in those books. The result shows that 233 (56%) from 416 sentences is a simple sentence. Moreover, some findings show that the verb patterns are mostly used in the children book level 1, 4 and 6 that is Subject + Verb + Object; Subject + Verb + Object+ Adverb; Subject + Verb + Object + Adverb; Subject + Verb + Adverb; Adverb + Subject + Verb + Object + Adverb; Adverb + Subject + Verb + Object.
