Today's rapidly developing technology creates new ways to sell products or services. Marketers can use e-commerce or social media. This change in buying and selling transactions provides many benefits for consumers but provides new perceptions of risks such as counterfeit goods or fraud. In Indonesia, the level of online transaction-based fraud is still common. This can be a barrier for sellers to gain consumer trust. This study aims to determine the perception of risk and consumer confidence in online shopping. The questionnaires were distributed online, collected as many as 354 respondents who had done online shopping. This study uses quantitative and qualitative approach. Descriptive analysis was performed using the SPSS application. The results of this study indicate that consumers still have negative perceptions in online shopping and cannot fully trust online sellers. This can be an obstacle for consumers in making online purchases. These findings provide insight for online sellers and marketers to develop strategies that can reduce negative perceptions of risk and increase consumer confidence.
