This final project is about making a mini encyclopedia of traditional musical instruments in Java. This final project has a role as the media to conduct and to give information about the traditional musical instruments from Java to people in general. The musical instruments are selected based on the origins of the instruments, from any part of Java island. A qualitative data collecting method is used in conducting this final project. The ways in collecting the data are library study, interview, and observation. The theory of encyclopedia, writing techniques, writing styles, traditional music, musical instruments, and designing are applied in making this mini encyclopedia. The result of this project is a mini encyclopedia that is written in English. This mini encyclopedia consists of four sections. The mini encyclopedia comes with pictures of the instruments to help the readers in understanding the instruments being explained and the facts about the instruments to broaden the readers information about the instruments.
