In facing organizational conflict, members of organizations show five different conflict behaviors namely avoiding, accommodating, compromising, competing, and collaborating. However, as they have to abide by the organizational values and policies, they do not always show their preferred conflict behaviors. One alternative of resolving conflict in organizations is the intervention of their managers as the their party. This intervention is required because organizations need their members to learn from the conflicts they face and because organizations needs their managers to solve cultural conflicts. In handling conflict negotiations, managers may play different roles, moving from the active ones to the more passive ones.
