This final project is entitled "The Making of a Guidebook about Art and Cultural Festivals Regularly Held in Bandung". It is hard to find an English guidebook that describes the periodical art and cultural festivals in Bandung. The purposes of making the guidebook are to give detailed information about art and cultural festivals regularly held in Bandung, to attract people to the festivals as well as to provide a practical reference and promotional media regarding to the festivals. The information about the festivals provided in the guidebook consists of overview of the festivals, regulation on the festivals, nearest accommodation, culinary places, how to get the venue, testimonials, and map of the venue. Also, there were additional yet useful information provided at the end of the guidebook. The information has been processed from relevant sources, interview transcripts and observation reports to the form of articles that use particular writing and language style. The theories used in this project are theories of tourism, cultural tourism, festival, component of travel and tourism, guidebook writing, descriptive writing, persuasive writing, informative writing, and tip writing. The methods used for gaining the information included the interview, the field observation, and library study. The result of this project is a guidebook entitled Art and Cultural Festivals in Bandung: A guidebook for exploring the uniqueness of Bandung. As an implication of the making of this guidebook, it is contribute a reference for the development of art and culture in Bandung. It is therefore recommended that mastering the persuasive techniques in producing this guidebook leads to a better project. Keywords: Festival, Art, Culture, Guidebook, Bandung
