Rata-rata Produksi sumur steam PLTP Kamojang sebesar 307,82 kg/s digunakan untuk pembangkitan unit berkapasitas 140MW sebesar 237,85 kg/s maka rata-rata buangan steam melewati vent structure sebanyak 53,83 kg/s. Buangan steam tersebut dapat digunakan sistem organic rankine cycle berkapasitas 1,3 MW dengan laju aliran steam 9,97 kg/s menggunakan fluida organik n-pentane, fluida organik tersebut memiliki temperature kritis 196,6°C lebih tinggi dibandingkan temperature pemanas steam yaitu 170°C. Sistem organik rankine cycle tersebut disimulasikan menggunakan aplikasi cycle tempo, pada sistem ORC tersebut terdapat salah satu komponen konversi energi heat exchanger pembentukan fasa cair menjadi fasa uap n-pentane yaitu evaporator. Tujuan tugas akhir ini yaitu merancangan evaporator tipe shell and tube jenis split ring fioating heat exchanger tipe AES dengan dimensi diameter luar tube do: 19,05mm, diameter dalam tube di: 15,75mm, dan diameter shell ds: 595,99mm. Deskripsi Alternatif :

The average production of PLTP Kamojang steam well of 304.82 kg/s is used for generating units with a capacity of 140MW of 237.85 kg/s, so the average steam discharge through the vent structure is 53.83 kg s. The steam exhaust can be used an organic rankine cycle system with a capacity of 1.3 MW with a steam flow rate of 9.97 kg/s using n-pentane organic fluid, this organic fiuid has a critical temperature of 196.6°C higher than the steam heating temperature of 170°C. The organic rankine cycle system is simulated using the cycle tempo application, one of the components of the energy conversion of the heat exchanger for the formation of the liquid phase to the n-pentane vapor phase in the system, namely the evaporator. The purpose of this final project is to design a shell and tube type evaporator with AES type split ring floating heat exchanger with the dimensions of the outer diameter of the tube do : 19.05 mm, the inner diameter of the tube di: 15.75 mm, and the shell diameter ds: 595.99mm.
