Conflict is unavoidable; it is part of our life. Many factors and conditions contribute to the occurrence of conflict. These can be divided into two major groups: factors relating to organizational structure or functioning, and factors relating to interpersonal relations. The objectives of this research are to identify the factors of cooperative individual behavior and competitive individual behavior related to conflict in organizations. The findings indicated that competitive individual behavior was positively correlated to conflict. The factors of competitive individual behavior; which significantly affect the conflict intensity within the organization, are communication and reciprocity tendency. (The tendency to treat other people the same way he was treated in the past).
