Sistem pengontrolan dan monitoring peralatan listrik jarak jauh telah banyak diterapkan dalam berbagai aplikasi. Pada umumnya menggunakan SMS Gateway pada jaringan GSM maupun dengan jaringan wi-fi. Sistem yang berbasis jaringan GSM mempunyai kelemahan dari segi ke-ekonomisan penggunaan karena masih tergantung pada biaya pulsa, sementara penggunaan sistem yang berbasis Wi-Fi terbatas oleh faktor jarak yang bisa dijangkau. Pada proyek akhir ini dirancang sistem pengontrolan dan monitoring peralatan listrik melalui media internet dengan sistem operasi Android yang terintegrasi pada telepon selular (Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570). Komunikasi terjadi antara klien Android, server, dan klien mikrokontroler dengan memanfaatkan jaringan internet selular yang tersedia dari ISP (Internet Services Provider). Peralatan listrik yang dikontrol berupa lampu listrik dan keran air elektronik yang dirancang menggunakan solenoid valve. Fungsi monitoring diterapkan pada lampu listrik menggunakan LDR (Light Diode Resistor) dan pada aliran air pada keran menggunakan dua kawat konduktor. Kata kunci: Internet, pengontrolan, monitoring, mikrokontroler, server, handphone, peralatan listrik.

Description Alternative :

Long range controlling and monitoring system for electrical equipment had been used for various application. Generally, this system used Wi-Fi networks or SMS Gateway on GSM networks. The use of GSM Networks has a disadvantaged in terms of the economics, because the need of the high cost. While, the use of Wi-Fi network has a distance limitations. This final project has designed and realized controlling and monitoring electrical equipment system based on Internet and Android operating system integrated on mobile phones (Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570). Commmunication occurs between Android client, server, and microcontroller client by using cellular internet networks that has been available from the ISP (Internet Services Provider). Electrical equipments that was controlled by this system are electric lamp and electric water faucet that was made of solenoid valve. The monitoring function was applied to electric lamp with LDR (Light Diode Resistor) and water flow on faucet with two conductor wires.
