Travelator (Moving Walkway) adalah alat angkut perpindahan orang dan barang dari satu tempat ke tempat lain pada satu lantai atau pada lantai yang berbeda level dan bergerak sesuai dengan prinsip pergerakan pada travelator berdasarkan pengembangan dari konveyor. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk mengendalikan sebuah sistem penggunaan travelator untuk mengurangi pemborosan energi. Penggunaan energi tersebut akan dilakukan secara otomatis sesuai dengan kebutuhan energi melalui pengontrolan kecepatan travelator. Metoda yang akan digunakan pada sistem kendali adalah logika fuzzy dengan menggunakan Mikrokontroller ATMega 8535 sebagai pemroses utama. Perancangan sistem kecepatan travelator didasarkan pada jumlah orang. Sistem menggunakan sensor LED dan Photodioda sebagai pendeteksi jumlah orang dan motor DC sebagai penggerak lantai travelator dengan kontrol kecepatan menggunakan Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). Deskripsi Alternatif :

Travelator (Moving Walkway) is the conveyance for people and goods from one place to another place in the same floor or in a different floor levels. It moves in accordance with the principles of the movement on the travelator which is based on the development of the conveyor. The aim of this project is to control a system in the usage of travelator system to reduce the waste of energy. The using of the energy will be conducted automatically based on the need of the energy through controlling the speed of the travelator. The method used in this system is fuzzy logic control system using Microcontroller ATMega 8535 as the main processor. The design of the travelator speed system is based on the amount of people (travelers). The systems used are LED sensor and Photodioda as a detector the amount of people. Besides, it also used a motor DC (direct current) – is an electromotor which needs a supply voltage of the direct system in a magnetizing coil to change it into mechanical motion energy, as a driver for travelator’s floor with the speed control that uses Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).
